Finally got to see a game here. Thankfully I’m going to two more games this season.

Thoughts on my roommates

First of all I hope and pray they never see this.

I have one roommate that is pretty chill who I get along with great seeing we hang out together more then the other two. Plus we have some similar interests and can talk about whatever.

Now for the other two…well they’re cool and we talk on occasion but overall…no comment. One’s weird. One has a girlfriend who is kind of psycho.

So yeah I’ve got 99 problems and psycho girlfriend ain’t one.

Thoughts on my classes so far…

Monday and Wednesday classes:

Survey of U.S. History I: Shit is easy. No book. Just read stuff on our online website through school. Easy class because I love my history.

Research and Argumentative Writing (a.k.a English II): Should be easy. Teacher is weird and has a lazy eye. Kind of hard to look at him.

Tuesday and Thursday classes:

Physical Geology: Easy. Rocks, volcanoes, earthquakes…yeah. Same with my lab.

Essentials of Mathematics: Easy. I’ve taken it before at another school but I’m stoopid and didn’t do well on the placement test. Only problem is my teacher is from Ghana (no joke) and it’s hard to understand him.

Principles of Management: Fuck. My. Life.

So far everything is good. Just need to keep it that way. I love school.

College football in three days though. Woo!.

Life…

I start school tomorrow for the first time in almost a year and a half. I’m excited and nervous all that the same time. I just want to get this done and over with.

Moving time

In about eleven days I’ll be moving to Tennessee for good. I have tons of great memories of Massachusetts and will always have them and Massachusetts will always be home. But there comes a time in life were you just have to move on and that’s what I am doing.

I’m finally in the mindset that I need to finish school and am determined to do better then subpar like in the past. I think and know being in Tennessee and more specifically at Middle Tennessee State will be the right fit and I’ll be happy. Yes I have screwed up, royally at that, in the past but you live and learn and boy have I learned. I’m ready to hit the books and actually study. Bring it on!

I want to finish school and get my degree and put that degree to good use with the knowledge from ‘real world experiences’ that I have and the different things I learned while in college.  And then once I get a job, hopefully in Tennessee or somewhere down South, I want to find somewhere to eventually call home. Even if that means living in apartment for a few years before finding that ‘home’.

From what I gather so far my roommates seem pretty cool, well at least one of them does. I guess one out of four isn’t that bad…I also feel like the old man out of the bunch seeing two of them are like 18 and the other is 22.

I have a ton of stuff already planned when I get down there and I’m pretty excited about it. Two Tennessee Volunteer games, weekends with someone special, road trips, spending time in Nashville (it’s not Boston but it’s still pretty awesome)

And so it ends…

The Space Shuttle Atlantis made its final landing today at 5:57 a.m. It was also the last time a shuttle will make a landing after returning from space for a very long time.

Unlike some people I was fortunate enough to actually be able to witness a shuttle launch one time when I was in Florida. It was in 1996 and I was able to see the Space Shuttle Columbia launch. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget while I was sitting there watching it rocket off into space from the Kennedy Space Center.

All in all it is a sad day. We lost a program that had been around for almost 40 years thanks to JFK and brought us a lot of insight to outer space. And through that time many souls were lost due to accidents, one many of us or at least my age were sadly able to see happen on TV or in person. Many people will be affected due to the end of Shuttles. Many people will lose jobs, their livelihood. They’ll lose that reason they went to school, the reason they joined the Air Force to become an Astronaut, and so many other reasons to be apart of NASA.

RIP: Shuttle program
